STEP Into The Dungeon reads one thing from Health Connect: your step count. It turns those steps into attacks, keeps your game on your device, and sends it nowhere. No accounts, no servers, no ads, no analytics, and your health data is never sold, shared or used to profile you.
With your permission, the app reads your step count from Health Connect to fill your step bank. No heart rate, sleep, weight, location or any other health record. You can revoke access any time in Health Connect.
Boss progress, HP, step totals, weekly history and settings are stored in the app's local storage on your device. There's no account and no backend, so we have no copy.
No ad networks, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no tracking. Your step data is never used for advertising or profiling, and never sold or handed to anyone.
No in-app purchases, no subscriptions. Google Play handles installs and the open beta under its own policy.
Everything STEP Into The Dungeon touches ends up in one of four places. Pick one to see where it lives and how long it stays.
On your phone, run by Android. The app only reads steps from it.
The app's own local storage. Never uploaded.
Google handles installs and the beta. Not the app.
Never collected. Not even Lord Sunday gets it.

STEP Into The Dungeon ("the app") is a boss-battler game for Android, currently in open beta on Google Play. It is developed and published by Jan Aguja, an independent developer in the Philippines ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, how it's used, where it's stored, and how long it stays there.
Your step count, read on your phone, for the game. That's the whole list.
The app does not require an account, sign-in, email address, phone number or any other personal detail, and it does not ask who you are. The only personal information it handles is your step count, read from Android Health Connect with your permission and used on your device to power the game (see section 3).
It does not collect:
The important bit, in full. Steps in, attacks out, nothing else.
What we access. The app requests read access to Steps through Android Health Connect. This is the only health data type it requests or reads. It does not request write access, and it does not read heart rate, sleep, weight, exercise sessions, location or any other health or fitness data.
How we use it. Your step count is used solely to power in-game mechanics:
How we store it. The app does not copy or store your raw Health Connect step records. Only the totals it derives from them (your weekly step total and what you've spent) are kept, in the app's local storage on your device.
How we share it. We don't. Step data never leaves your device through the app.
Your health data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the game itself. It is never sold, never transferred to third parties, never used to determine credit or insurance eligibility, and never read by a human.
The use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control. You choose whether to grant step access, and you can revoke it at any time in the Health Connect app under App permissions → STEP Into The Dungeon. Revoking stops the app from reading new step data; the game can't fill your step bank without it. Health Connect itself is a part of Android provided by Google. Data you keep in it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; see Google's Health Connect help for how it works.
Your whole save file. It stays put.
All game state is stored locally on your device only, in the app's private storage:
Sound effects are bundled inside the app and played locally. Nothing about your game is uploaded, backed up to us, or synced to a cloud service by the app.
There's no dungeon server. Your data has nowhere to go.
The app has no account system, no backend and no cloud sync. It never transmits your step count, health data or game data to us or to any server.
The app uses Google Fonts for its lettering. Depending on how a given version is built, it may download those font files from Google's font servers the first time they're needed. That request contains no game or health data; like any web request, it lets Google see your device's IP address.
Google runs the platform pieces. Nobody else is in the dungeon.
The app includes no advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services or tracking libraries of any kind. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
The app is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads. The only currency in the game is steps.
The app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
You hold the only copy, so you hold the delete button.
Local game data stays on your device until you remove it. To erase it, go to your device's Settings → Apps → STEP Into The Dungeon → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app, which permanently deletes all locally stored data. Removing the app's permission in Health Connect stops new reads but doesn't delete anything, and steps recorded in Health Connect by your phone or other apps stay there under your control.
Because there's no account and no server-side copy, there is nothing held by us to request deletion of. Step-by-step instructions are on the Delete your data page.
Depending on where you live, including under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, the GDPR or similar laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to withdraw consent. Because the app keeps your data only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly: view your progress in the app, revoke step access in Health Connect, and clear or uninstall the app to delete. For anything else, contact us and we'll respond.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and as described above, the app doesn't send personal information anywhere.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a future version adds anything that sends data off your device, such as online play, this policy will be updated to describe it before that version is released. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
