ADVENTURES
The faculty are possessed. Your grades are in another building.
A platformer about a college barkada fighting their way through campus to get their grades back. Pick one of 13 heroes, each with one skill. Grab the comic-page power-up and they turn into their alter ego, with a much bigger version of it. Then stomp seven possessed teachers.

How it all started
Before the game there was a comic strip, drawn on whatever was on the table, about a college barkada, their blockmates and their teachers. Every hero in the game is one of them.
2003 · KFC-Katipunan
A table napkin
Walking down Katipunan Avenue with a high school classmate, Jan had an idea: draw the funniest moments of college life as a comic strip. Over a meal at KFC, he grabbed a table napkin and drew the very first Katips-Ahoy character, Enzo. Danny and Jeek came next.

A name
Crossing to campus, everyone had a title suggestion. The one that stuck: Katips-Ahoy.
2003 · Physics class
The main character couldn't draw himself
Jan tried to draw himself and failed. He asked a friend to draw him, and the friend, busy actually listening to the physics teacher (who became Teacher Patdai), never finished. That unfinished drawing became Jan, the main character. In the same class came Ses, Ghost and the curly-haired one who's now Kulot.

Reimagined, not remade
The same barkada, the same possessed teachers, the same jokes, now hand-inked like a gothic storybook. Every hero kept their 2004 lives, speed and jump. Jan's alter ego is his actual 2003 doodle style, come to life.

13 heroes, 13 alter egos
Every hero has one skill. The power-up turns them into their alter ego: faster, higher jumps, a bigger skill, and one free hit before they turn back, just like the 2004 super persona. Pick someone, then power up.
★ Three heroes are locked, like in 2004. The cheat still works: type EXTRA (or tap a locked card five times).

Stomp!
Not the game, just its favourite verb. Your hero from above runs down Katipunan Avenue. Tap, click or press Space to jump; land on top of anything to stomp it. Touch it from the side and it's "ARAY!"

Land on heads. Generously: the game does too.
Three hearts. Guards walk, higad crawl, tricycles charge.
The comic page turns you into your alter ego. One free hit.

Every boss fight opens with the 2004 briefing, word for word where it still works. Pick a teacher, read up, then poke them. They've all got something to say about it.

FAQ
Is this the 2004 game?
No, it's reimagined from it. Same story, same characters, same stats and the same briefings, but rebuilt from scratch as a modern platformer: proper controls, a skill per hero, alter egos, and bosses with real patterns to learn. The 2004 version was a Turbo C program that read one key at a time, and you can still play it: flip the 2004 switch at the top of this page.
Who are these people?
The cast of a comic strip about a college barkada in 2003: friends, blockmates and a few teachers, lightly disguised. The teachers are possessed in the game, not in real life. Probably.
How hard is it?
A real challenge, but a fair one: forgiving controls, generous stomps, checkpoints, and bosses whose patterns you can read. Then everything explodes into ink.
When can I play?
Not yet. The web playtest (with a tester password, like Barangay Defense), Google Play and the App Store are all coming soon. Want in when it opens? Email [email protected].
Does it collect anything?
No account, no ads, no analytics. It remembers two things on your device: the last hero you picked, and whether you've typed the EXTRA cheat. The privacy policy has the details.
Thank you, hero! But your grades are in another building.
Coming to the web for testers, then Google Play and the App Store. The buttons light up the day they work.
