Works on phones, tablets and computers. Best in landscape.
Soon
Night falls on the barangay and the creatures of Philippine folklore come for the church. You are the Kapitan, the barangay captain. Walk the field yourself, pick up the coins fallen monsters drop, and spend them to summon help: tanods, a slingshot kid, the albularyo, a balut vendor, Lola and her flying slipper, and more.
Every monster plays differently. The Duwende steal your coins. The Sigbin ignore your army and run for the church. The Kaperosa turn ghostly and your blows pass through them. The Batibat put your whole line to sleep. Each new defender arrives just when you need them, as the answer to a new problem. Survive twelve nights, then see how long you last in the night that never ends.
One lane, one church, one very long night.
Walk left and right with the ◀ ▶ buttons (or A / D). He fights anything in reach, flyers included, and units near him march faster.

Spend Ks to call defenders from the church. Melee units hold the line, shooters hit flyers, and support units heal or earn Ks.
Survive every wave. Keep the church healthy for up to ★★★, then spend the barangay's Ambag on upgrades before the next night.

Rallies the barangay: +40 Ks and all units attack 60% faster for 5s.
The church bell rings: stuns every monster and wakes/cleanses your units.
16 townsfolk answer the call. New ones join as the nights go on. Each has a special skill it uses on its own.

The web playtest is free. Pricing for the store versions hasn't been decided yet. There are no ads.
A barangay is the smallest unit of local government in the Philippines, roughly a village or neighborhood. It's led by a Kapitan and kept safe by tanods, volunteer watchmen.
Ks is your money during a battle, for summoning units. Ambag ("contribution") is what the barangay pools together after each night, spent on upgrades in the Barracks.
Yes. Every monster comes from Philippine mythology: the tiyanak, aswang, manananggal, kapre, tikbalang, duwende, sigbin, Bakunawa and more. Their in-game abilities are based on the legends, like the Tiktik whose "tik-tik" gets quieter as it gets closer, or the Bakunawa that swallows the moon.
The art is cartoony and there's no blood or gore, but the monsters are drawn from folk horror, and some of them (the manananggal, the tiyanak) can be spooky for young children. Best to take a look first.
The web version needs a connection to load. Once it's open, the game itself doesn't send anything anywhere. The mobile apps will play fully offline.
Please send it to [email protected]. A screenshot and which night you were on help a lot.
